A virtual taste of some of our favorite local food trucks!
Food Trucks or Restaurant? My husband has wanted to open a restaurant for as long as I have known him – wow, almost 15 years now!. To me, it just isn’t economical where the risk is concerned. I mean, sure, if I knew it would be a success? Which really is not logical, because if you are going to do something, you should be all in, right? Which means do it, regardless of whether or not you know it will work out. But THAT IS SCARY!
So, my compromise? A food truck. They are continually growing in popularity and have been popping up all over the U.S. for the last several years. So on a mission to research some of the top food trucks in our area – here is what I found. Part of our “research” over the last few months and for the next year or so (until we decide to go all in) will be tasting and viewing what some of these trucks have to offer.
Our first round of trucks are the ones that are generally located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They are closest to us, but we will probably get around to the ones in Bentonville too.
So far, our absolute favorite has to be the Baller Food Truck. SO incredibly unique and everything we have tasted has been delicious! They also seem to be pretty affordable. Everything they make is literally, BALLS! — I think I my favorite is the mac and cheese ball, but it is really hard to pick a favorite. Plus, the owner is super cool and talked to my husband last year a ton about food trucks.

Another top favorite has to be Burton’s Comfort Creamery. Since it is dessert, we can totally have two favorites, right? My kids go nuts over their crazy kinds of ice cream. Their favorite? Probably the Michael Jackson or the Sandlot. Although the Nutty Professor is in direct competition with those two! The owner is super fabulous too. He did a fundraiser night for my daughters Volleyball team, so a portion of that nights sales went to toward their team. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Another family favorite is Feltner Brothers. While we have never experienced their food truck cuisine, we DO love their burgers and dogs. The boys in the house especially love their Chicago style hot dog. – Yes, my husband is a Yankee. But we’ve converted him.

Some other really great food trucks, known only to us by word of mouth – but we will be trying them out, as well as others, to see how they compare to our favorites!
