About Dom

About Dom

.

Dominique Kemper

My name is Dominique. I am 16 years old. While I do love all sports, my favorite sport, and the only one I play competitively, is Volleyball. I have been playing since I was in 5th grade.

I started at the Youth Center league and then made the Jr High team when I was only in 7th grade. It was then that I realized just how much I loved the sport. I found out about the traveling competitive teams from a friend. I tried out the first year and absolutely loved it.

I have played other sports and I loved them, but nothing compares to the love that I have for Volleyball.

I hope to continue to play for both school and competitive leagues until I am 18. It is my dream to play collegiate volleyball. I have gone from not knowing much about volleyball to being a fierce competitor. It has taken a lot of hard work and determination to get where I am.

I was adopted by my amazing parents when I was 8 years old. To some it might be a sad story, but to me it has made me who I am today, and if you would like to hear about it, I am happy to tell you! But rather than be sad and depressed about my past, I decided to take control of my life. I am an honor roll student, on the Student Council, and I just won the Lady Cougar Award for my school team. This award was given to me in recognition of the young woman who best represents the leadership qualities of a Southwest Volleyball player through my positive attitude, high academic standing, and outstanding athletic ability.

Please help me fulfill my dream of playing collegiate volleyball. The only way for me to get there is to continue with my competitive league. Any donation or sponsorship means the world to me. Thank you all so much!!
