Two very busy kiddos, one full-time job, one part-time job, one crazy business, one super sweet and also very busy husband…. Blogging, writing and connecting with people are my passions., along with anything tech! I am a self-proclaimed computer nerd. I love to build them and new software is like Christmas morning. I love the challenge of figuring something out, no matter what it is. 

I have been writing and editing in some form or fashion since high school, but professionally for nearly 10 years now. Much of my work has been ghostwriting, writing press releases, corporate and professional communications, and visual aids (step by step software guides and how-to’s). Being a writer and editor is a constant work in progress. Good thing I consider myself a lifelong student, yeah?

35 random things about me that you may or may not care to know. 🙂 

1. I am a mom of a beautiful girl and handsome son. They are now ADULT teenagers. This happened overnight.
2. I have a terrible time focusing on any one thing at a time. My brain is set on multitasking-auto-pilot.
3. I have been married to the most incredible man for 17 years. We are still on our honeymoon.
4. I work full time from home with people that I love. I have been with the same company for almost 11 years, recently joining a second company that I also love. 
5. I also run a business that I am very passionate about and have been for almost 4 years. (www.designsunhinged.com)
6. I absolutely love to bake, anything.
7. I didn’t know how to cook, pretty much at all, until I met my husband. It took him years to teach me, but now I love to cook.
8. My favorite seasons are Spring and Fall but mostly Fall. I don’t hate winter or summer, but I don’t love them as much as the other two.
9. I have learned, very recently, that while I have always loved writing, it is more of a passion and an outlet now than it has ever been.
10. I am a complete tech/computer nerd. I love electronics, I love computers and I love software. Sometimes, it does not love me back.
11. I have always struggled with my weight. No joke. But I have spent the last several years learning what it means to truly be healthy, not just “diet” to lose weight. (I still struggle)
12. I am scared to death of spiders, but I love snakes.
13. We have 3 dogs, a cat, and a snake. If it were up to me, we would probably have 10 of everything. Maybe more.
14. I love all living things, probably too much. I am definitely a bleeding heart.
15. I loooove sweets and carbs, but I also love fruits and veggies. I just wish the sweets and carbs were as good for you as the fruits and veggies.
16. I love sports. Especially volleyball and football, because that is what my kids play.
17. I have really never been much of a “sitter” for long periods of time. Weird, since I work online what seems like 24/7. Thankful for my stand up desk!!
18. I cannot sit and watch TV without doing something alongside it. (serious, multitasking-auto-pilot) Doesn’t really matter what it is, but I can’t seem to just sit and focus on the TV. It drives my husband insane.
19. I work entirely too much.
20. I am and always have been really horrible at video games of any kind.
21. I love the outdoors. I love to hike, fish, geocache and kayak, and lots of other things I can’t think of right at the moment.
22. I do not love to be really hot or really cold, so the above is really only when it is not really hot or really cold.
23. My favorite things to cook are soups and casseroles. Or anything that can be thrown in the crockpot or now Instantpot, because who doesn’t love EASY!
24. After learning more about eating healthy (clean eating), I discovered I love a challenge when it comes to cooking and making regular meals more healthy.
25. I have enough hair for 3 people. Lots of people think it is a blessing. I only think that sometimes, errr when it cooperates… But mostly, it’s up in a bun.
26. I cannot decorate to save my life. Nothing inside or outside. It is really sad. 
27. I am horribly uncreative in so many ways. I have been told this is not true, but I beg to differ. (You’d agree if you saw me try and paint or draw, or decorate anything.) But apparently, I AM creative when it comes to design on the computer 🙂
28. My husband spoils me rotten. He is my best friend.
29. My mom is also my best friend.
30. I have had the same best friend since I was, mmmm, 13? She is an amazing mama, and you can read why here.
31. I am pretty good at solving puzzles and not just the cardboard kind you put together. Anything that involves a challenge.
32. I dislike math, a lot. But have this weird memory recall for numbers. 
33. My plate is always full, usually over full. I have a really hard time saying no to people.
34. My favorite place on earth is near a body of water. ANY body of water (well…almost). 
35. I LOVE to travel. It used to be just no big deal to jump in the car and go, but since flying for the first time in 2009, I don’t love super long car trips anymore. Maybe I am getting old?
