Is anyone really ever too old to play laser tag? No, I didn’t think so. I have always been a little fascinated with laser tag games, both in places like Locomotion and the like, and the ones that can be played at home. I cannot even count the number of times I bought laser tag sets for the kids – and they always had fun.
So, with my kids now being teenagers, you might think they had grown out of playing with toys like laser guns. Nope. They were so excited when I unboxed the Laser X set – it was pretty hilarious. But I thought it might provide them with a night of fun around the neighborhood, and that it did!
Thank goodness we have gracious neighbors. It was quite amusing to see the kids running around at night, almost as if they were young again. I mean, yes, 16 and 17 is still young, but for me, I am always feeling like they are older than I want them to be.
Unfortunately, with them running around in the dark, I did not get any pictures of them playing! It is unlike me to not take pictures – I’m a bit of a nut – but I was having too much fun watching and listening to them.
All-new Laser X features sophisticated electronics and optics that give players pinpoint blasting accuracy up to 200 feet. We bought the package that was for 2 players and then a single player – so that they could be combined. That is one thing I loved about these. If you have a get together, birthday party, etc… each person can buy the set of 1 and add to the game with other players.
The receiver vest keeps tracks of hits. After 10 hits, players are eliminated from the game. Players can choose to be on teams or select “rogue” mode where it’s every player for his or herself. All Laser X sets work together, so games can have as few as two players – or the whole neighborhood can play.
Although my teens chose to play in the dark – which was a ton of fun – you can play with these during the day too!
It is available in sets that equip two players for $49.99 or individual players for $24.99 and is at retailers nationwide now. It is also available at GetLaserX.com.
